Hazmat Loads
Hazmat loads carry hazardous materials – such as fuels, chemicals, gases, paints, batteries and other regulated products – under strict federal rules for packaging, placarding, paperwork and driver qualification. Because fewer carriers are qualified to haul them, hazmat loads often pay more than similar non-hazmat freight.
This page shows live hazmat loads across the United States in several equipment types, including vans, reefers, flatbeds and tankers. Filter by origin, destination and deadhead, pickup date, length, weight, minimum rate or rate per mile, and broker name or MC number. Open a load for the lane, distance, weight and rate when shared, and check the notes for the hazard class and requirements before contacting the broker.
To haul placarded hazmat, drivers need a CDL with the hazmat (H) endorsement, which includes a TSA security check. Depending on the material and quantity, carriers may also need PHMSA hazmat registration, a hazmat safety permit and higher insurance limits. Just Tracking is free for qualified carriers, owner-operators and dispatchers.
